We feel like should explain why. Why we want to have a blog. Why it has taken us a while. Why we named it Tres Leches.
Why, numero uno: We have too many dear ones, just too far away. You really should know what is going on in our lives. We want to give you updates on our adventures near and far. Also, we don't have a paper journal. As long as the internet and our keyboard are functioning, this is it! So please treat it nice and don't fold the corners of the pages.
Why, numero dos: The wedding was great and Maui so much fun. Then we needed a month to recover, which of course we did not take. Kevin went right back to work and Miluska started her internship a few days later. In the 16 weeks we have been married we have also moved Kevin from Reston to Dupont Circle, filled and emptied a storage unit, assembled wedding gifts, said missionary farewells to two cousins, attended several family birthdays, survived Kevin's hectic work schedule, hunted for a house (with dozens of viewings, and one happy ending), acquainted ourselves with the complexities of home buying, and now been new members in two wards. But the happiest undertaking of all...
Why, numero Tres: Our new little family is officially two plus one. Given our love for that delightful Hispanic dessert, and for the number 3, and for all things de leche (lactose intolerance notwithstanding), we thought Tres Leches would be an appropriate moniker for this, our family blog.
What an honor to be invited! Also, maybe I'm too simple-minded, but does that mean you guys are expecting, or that you consider dessert to be the third member of your family?
